The concept of Rabbit in the Vestibule came after much brainstorming and deliberation. The idea was to create the circumstance of a wandering listener randomly encountering rooms in which different activities or adventures occur. To contextualize the songs so they matched the intent of the album art, we added the sounds of doors opening and closing before and after each song.One definition of Vestibule is an anteroom whose only purpose is to contain doors that lead to other rooms.  In mid 2006 we were hired by PeaceArch Films to score a horror “zomedy” film starring Billy Zane and Shauna MacDonald called “The Mad”. It was a bit of a rush job – the studio only gave us a month to write and record a full 75 minutes worth of mickey-mouse style scoring as well as full pieces of music for this film.
