Kyree Vibrant was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario. She took piano and singing lessons and began writing songs prolifically throughout her youth and teenage years. She performed in musical plays while attending Burlington Central High School and went to Sheridan College in Oakville for Film, Television and Media Arts. When she moved to Toronto, she became the lead singer of cartoon art band Angry Shoppers and she also worked as a dancer, choreographer and talent booker. She started to sing jazz and lounge music first with The Royal Jelly Orchestra, and then in her own lounge band, The Vibrant Lounge. She also formed a rock band, Dandelion who existed in several incarnations for four years.

Kyree wrote and produced four original solo albums all of different musical genres and did voice work for films, other musicians and scores for TV shows. She also wrote, directed and produced videos for several musical projects and films - one of which, (Meeting Rock, 2002), played in two international film festivals. She has written music and scores for three award winning/nominated films: Jack and Jill (2000), Love Is Work (2004) and The Mad (2006 with Half Past Four). She is trained as a jazz vocalist and has also studied classical opera.

Kyree currently works on many projects as a director and video editor and has a large body of personal work that is constantly growing. Kyree incorporates these talents in the creation of the band’s live visual presentations. Her favorite colour is periwinkle blue; her favorite foods are sashimi, popcorn and raw kale salad from Whole Foods (not all at once) and her favorite pastimes include baking, going to spas and spending time with her family. Her favorite experience with Half Past Four so far has been playing in New York City.
