Igor “Iggy” Kurtzman was born in Kiev, former USSR, raised near Tel Aviv, Israel and later in Toronto, Canada. He attended Northview Heights Secondary School and Seneca College in Toronto obtaining a diploma in Computer Networking and Technical Support. His musical education consists of private piano, music theory and harmony lessons from age 9 until age 15, and then jazz piano lessons. He won 2nd and 3rd places at Kiwanis Music Festival at age 13.

Iggy came on board with Half Past Four in 2002 and it was his first band. His musical inspirations include Chick Corea, Oscar Peterson and Keith Emerson. Iggy’s favorite food is dark chocolate. His favorite colors are red and black and his favorite pastime is reading. His favorite experience with Half Past Four so far has been “every gig we’ve had at Clinton’s Tavern”...
